Project Description: Name : Noyon Chandra Paul Student ID: 35916323 In this project, it is aimed at hosting a simple web application on a cloud service with Microsoft Azure. The primary goal of the project is to create a convenient site that can assist individuals in learning languages and gaining more confidence in communication.. Being a polyglot I would like to make people learn how to speak languages in a manner they have never learnt before. In this project, I deployed a virtual machine on the Azure platform that supports Ubuntu Linux. This server was configured and administered through Linux command line tools, which enabled me to install software, manage files and configure the web server. I made a simple web site in HTML and hosted it on the cloud server. The site will contain basic information and my student ID to address the assignment criteria. This project taught me how to deploy a web application to a cloud-based system and how to communicate with a remote server with command-line tools. It also made me aware of important concepts of the cloud computing like virtual machines, public IP addresses and online access. The assigned IP address also shows the strength and versatility of cloud hosting since the website can be accessed anywhere. Moreover, the work with Ubuntu Linux enhanced my technical competences and my ability to work with command-line interfaces. The project is not only an exhibition of skills in cloud and web development, but it also mirrors my ambition to enable other people learn languages using easy and easy to access web materials.
